Very good food and service - Read on trip advisor and then was in the vicinity and said let's give it a try and Boy am I glad I did. The lamb and chicken tibs (as... read more they call it) served on a Injera (a roti type made out of special grains which Atkilt informed me are the smallest grains in the world) had a slight lemony flavor that went perfectly well with the lamb and chicken. The flavors are indeed a good blend of spicy and lemony. I visited at 5PM which allowed me to learn a little bit about Ethiopian food as the restaurant was empty. The décor is simple and very inviting and I am told they also have live music on the weekends. I am not sure if many folks know of or are aware of Ethiopian food but I must say you will not be disappointed. I will certainly try more of these restaurants and they will have to live up to the standards set by Gojo Café which are pretty high.

Very good Ethiopian food
“First time I tried Ethiopian food, it was very pleasant. Owner was friendly and helpful in exploring the menu. There are no utensils and you are expected to eat with your hands. Meats were flavorful and veggies were too. It was a nice segway into unfamiliar dishes”

“Atkilt is phenomenal! I remember visiting Vancouver 3 years ago and having a great time catching up with old friends over a veggie platter here at Gojo cafe and revisiting it again the other day. The family-based service is what keeps us coming back”

“This is our 4th time there! Excellent food, clean, tasteful, simple. Beautiful variety of art and colors and furniture inside. I usually have the meat-vegetarian option. Injera (a type of bread) is a blessing. Service is fast and friendly.”
